Hylomar was developed in cooperation between Rolls Royce Company andMarston Bentley Company. Some time later, the product was sold and a new company was formed by the name of Hylomar LTD. Previously, this created some confusion as all of their products took on the name “Hylomar”. Hylomar LTD provides RTV Silicone, Anaerobics and Non-Setting Jointing Compounds all under the name “Hylomar”.
1950’s AEROGRADE PL32
PL32 was the original Hylomar Blue Product. This was the 32nd formula and therefore, the name PL32 was established. The original formula is a very stringent process which includes a lot of documentation and a very lengthy process to accommodate aircraft specifications and certifications. PL32 Aerograde is made with a Methylene Chloride solvent.

performance and critical applications.
1990’s AEROGRADE ULTRA
Aerograde Ultra is a non-chlorinated solvent version of the Aerograde PL32 . This product can be used as a direct replacement for Aerograde PL32. The solvent used to manufacture this product is acetone.
1990’s UNIVERSAL BLUE
Universal Blue was developed as an economic automotive version of Aerograde PL32 without the certifications. Universal Blue is manufactured using Methylene Chloride as the solvent.
1990’s UBA
UBA is specifically manufactured for use in the Pneumatic Boltcoater. Blended identical to PL32 Aerograde. It is manufactured using Methylene Chloride as the solvent.
1990’s ADVANCED FORMULATION/HPF
Hylomar Advanced Formulation is solvent free. This product comes in standard and high viscosity and was developed for special purposes to address environmental issues in certain industries.
1990’s HYLOMAR M
Hylomar M is made with an Acetone solvent and is similar to Universal Blue.
